Scottish Grass Sickness Show

This show is dedicated to the memory of Sykes, my beloved Clydesdale who died of Acute Grass Sickness in October 2009, aged 4 years.

Hundreds of horses die in Scotland every year from Grass Sickness. Currently, there is no prevention and no cure.

The Equine Grass Sickness Fund is the only registered charity in the world raising funds for research into grass sickness at the Moredun Foundation in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Grass Sickness Show aims to raise as much money as possible for the fund.

We held our first show in 2010 and raised a fantastic £1360 for the fund. The 2011 show raised £1950 which was brilliant. We hope to beat that total this year!

The 2012 show preperation is under way and we have lots of new classes - see my NEW blog page for more details (now that I've figured out how to post a blog LOL).
